Boiler feed pumps are specifically designed to pump feed water into a steam boiler. This feed water may come from a fresh water supply or condensate water recycled from the steam of the boiler. Most boiler feed pumps are high-pressure assemblies that create suction from the condensate return pump, however, they may be part of the centrifugal pump in some systems. At N.H. Skidmore’s X-Series Boiler Feed pumps move condensate and/or makeup water directly into your boiler or boilers. The X-Series’ pumping action is triggered by a level controller mounted in the boiler tank to maintain the boiler’s water level requirements. Each X-Series Boiler Feed comes with a heavy-duty and easily removable float to operate the unit’s make-up valve. In addition, each pump comes with a long-lasting impeller that ensures smooth and efficient water passage along with a mechanical seal capable of handling temperatures up to 250º F. The Universal type 4-bolt flange mounting allows the X-Series Boiler Feed to easily fit on all major competitor’s models. Finally, this unit is available in both cast iron and steel receivers.
