Boiler feed pumps are specifically designed to pump feed water into a steam boiler. This feed water may come from a fresh water supply or condensate water recycled from the steam of the boiler. Most boiler feed pumps are high-pressure assemblies that create suction from the condensate return pump, however, they may be part of the centrifugal pump in some systems. At N.H. Skidmore’s X-Series Boiler Feed pumps move condensate and/or makeup water directly into your boiler or boilers. The X-Series’ pumping action is triggered by a level controller mounted in the boiler tank to maintain the boiler’s water level requirements. Each X-Series Boiler Feed comes with a heavy-duty and easily removable float to operate the unit’s make-up valve. In addition, each pump comes with a long-lasting impeller that ensures smooth and efficient water passage along with a mechanical seal capable of handling temperatures up to 250º F. The Universal type 4-bolt flange mounting allows the X-Series Boiler Feed to easily fit on all major competitor’s models. Finally, this unit is available in both cast iron and steel receivers.

Rather you realize it or not, suspended or deposited solids in the water of your HVAC or process systems can cause abrasion, enhance corrosion, and reduce temperature transfer. Rather than allowing this liquid to go to waste, many engineers recommend adding a condensate return to your boilers system. Suspended particles or deposited solids can cause abrasions, enhance corrosion, and reduce the effectiveness of an HVAC system even in small commercial facilities. In fact, these particles can prevent inhibitors from reaching metal surfaces, remove inhibitors and/or the protective film from metal surfaces and can even promote the formation of a biofilm or other corrosive deposits. To avoid this from occurring many small commercial facilities choose to the Skidmore X-Pot Compact which was specifically designed for smaller commercial heating and cooling water applications. The Skidmore X-Pot Compact is ideal for systems up to 9.130 gallons and 150 PSI working pressure. In addition, the X-Pot Compact’s size and versatility lend work well in areas where space is at a premium such as a mechanical room or small basement. This compact unit from Skidmore incorporates a shot feeder, magnetic filter, and cartridge filter, which makes it a perfect “go t0” solution in mechanical rooms for both new and existing applications. The Skidmore X- Pot 6 is an all in one slipstream filter, magnetic filter, air separator, and shot-feeder that can improve the efficiency of your system by improving the quality of your water.

The X-Pot 6 contains rare earth magnets that are which are encased within a stainless steel magnet grate that allows for easy removal and cleaning. In addition to the magnets, the X-Pot 6’s cartridge filter provides superior cleaning and exceptional retention of system debris.
