Each X-Series Boiler Feed comes with a heavy-duty and easily removable float to operate the unit’s make-up valve. In addition, each pump comes with a long-lasting impeller that ensures smooth and efficient water passage along with a mechanical seal capable of handling temperatures up to 250º F. The Dunkirk Excelsior EXB High-Energy 3-Pass oil boiler features a high limit control panel with LED display and easy to program dial settings. In addition, this unit features a more compact design than the previous model Excelsior which makes it more eco-friendly (AFUEs as high as 87%) and easier to install. The EXB is also easy to maintain with wide flute ways, flexible oil lies, dual hinged swing doors, and a site glass test port. For safety, this unit comes with a boil water temperature reset and low water cut off functionality.

In addition, the EW II Series II comes with an atmospheric chimney vent boiler with a textured paint coating and a 20 year “Cast to Last” Warranty on residential applications. With the Less Coil model, the control monitors water temperature and delays the burner from starting until any residual heat has been transferred. However,  with the Coil version, the low limit control seeks maximum temperature to satisfy domestic hot water call bypassing thermal purge logic.
